full description:

An ethical alternative to a popular style, this classic all white low-top sneaker with sporty red stripe is made with 100% Fair Trade-certified organic cotton canvas upper and tough rubber sole. The sole is produced and stamped with FSC-certified all natural and sustainable latex. That means the rubber was actually tapped from a tree in a well managed and growing forest instead of being made from chemicals like other rubber products. All dyes used on the canvas are PCP and AZO free. A Fair Trade premium is paid to both the rubber producers in Sri Lanka and to the shoe stitchers in Pakistan. The shoes are 100% vegan.

MORE ABOUT THIS SUPPLIER »

Autonomie Project, Inc. is an innovative Fair Trade fashion company offering stylish eco-friendly & vegan footwear, clothing and accessories. In late 2007, the founders of Autonomie Project became inspired by the lack in the social marketplace of a truly wearable ethical clothing brand that they could actually afford. With the strong desire to effect positive change in our world and the attitude of building a company bottom-up grassroots-style, these few good friends set off to start a different kind of company.
