Halfway through our Version 3.1 collection is a billfold a third covered in sprawling fur… flat, coarse, rodent fur that is being stared at by a stuffed, neon green, white-walled and wood-mounted fish. This vibrant and earthly toned image was reeled in by our unsuspecting mentor Steve Steckly, at a death filled taxidermy and game shop in South East Portland. Steve’s photos have always been heroes and they certainly make stunning wallets, ones and zeroes. Quote from Steve below:
“Was taken in a taxidermy shop which advertises antler lights as well. Another photo from this same roll was used on “Mad Deer” wallet (www.dbclay.com/deadbillfolds.com). Other photos on the roll are of the shop and some oil tanks at night. Frame #18 is my favorite on the roll.”
Wallet components: PVC free Tope, satin nylon, thread, ink, cardboard box
