Artists at seven planet
Friday, November 20th, 2009One of our goals at seven planet is to promote local artists and we’ve been lucky to work with a couple of the best in the area already.
In October, aerosol artist Rai hung pieces throughout the store and performed during our First Thursday party. It’s been said that the “spastic, dance-like movements she uses make the creation of her large wooden pieces as artistic and entertaining as the finished product.” We’d have to agree.
This month we’re featuring the work of Roscoe Hall, a working artist, who focuses mainly on painting, photography and the culinary arts. In visual art he expresses a more contemporary folk style in his paintings, with his main goal being the act of story telling. He was in attendance for this month’s First Thursday party and his work is available in the store. You’ll like it.
